Wait a second...how come every site that is just launching already has "frequently asked questions"? Who is asking these questions already? But here they are: If this is not good enough for you, send an email to Contact at RealVerdict.com.
Why do I need to register?
You do not need to register to view anything on the site. You will need to register if you want to create a case, vote as a juror, or give witness.
What about my Privacy and what information do you show?
We only publicly display the user-name that you create for yourself. Any communication between the site and other parties will only reference that name. We do not share any other information such as email address, physical address or phone number. We only ask that for verification purposes, for us to contact other parties in the cases, and to send information about the site and its offerings. Please also see our Privacy Policy and Terms of Use linked at the bottom of each page.
What happens when I create a case?
You enter the information into the online form and add any files to support your position. We send you an email to your registered email address to have you confirm you want the case created. We then move the case into Active mode, and send notices to any defendants and witnesses that you choose. Voting is then open to all Members.
What if I do not want to name a defendant or witness?
Just check the “Unspecified” box above the Defendant details. Witnesses are not required; just click “Create Case”.
How long are the cases active for?
Typically 10 days, but some global issues may be kept open longer; e.g. election issues might stay active through the election period.
What official legal standing do these cases have?
None.
What if I change my mind and want a case withdrawn?
You should not assume that this is easily done once a case is active since the matter becomes community property for voting. However, send us an email request citing the reasons, and we will consider it.
What if someone posts abusive or otherwise illegal cases?
This is an open community forum of user generated content that we do not edit, nor take responsibility for what the community airs. However, we have the right to remove anything that contravenes our Terms and Conditions (see link below) or other cases that warrant removal. You may send us a communication via http://www.realverdict.com/remove_case.php to make such a request.
What are the other services you offer on the site?
We offer our own Opinion On Demand service where you can receive a legal briefing with background information for your case. We also offer links to partners that offer a variety of legal services such as finding lawyers and legal documents.
How do I know you will not Spam my email address?
We are fully compliant with anti-spam regulations, including opt-out capability. We will not sell your email to any third party. We reserve the right to send you emails about cases, site features and the occasional message from marketing partners, though these will be infrequent and clearly labeled.
